Tomorrow we leave for Anchorage, as there is only four days left to the start of the Iditarod. First we stop off at John and Mari Wood’s kennel which is around a five hour drive from here (Nenana), and then it will be a further two hours drive from there to Anchorage; John & Mari are good friends of Jacques & Magali, so this will give me a good opportunity to say hello as I’ve only emailed John in the past.The big Iditarod banquet is on Thursday which I’m looking forward too, as many famous mushers’ will be there. Sunday should be excellent although crazy, as it will be the main start of the 2007 Iditarod; I’ll be helping preparing and hooking up dogs for Jacques and seeing him off at start line with Magali :o)
It’s all crazy here at the moment in preparation to setoff tomorrow…
